The Service

Useful Wallpapers sells annual subscriptions to dynamic iPhone lock-screen wallpapers. After checkout you receive an access code by email. You customize the wallpaper on our site; an Apple Shortcut on your iPhone fetches a fresh image and can set it as your wallpaper (typically after you approve a daily notification).

The Service is designed for iPhone and Apple Shortcuts. We do not guarantee support for other devices or operating systems. You need a compatible iPhone, an internet connection, and Apple’s Shortcuts app (and any permissions Apple requires). We do not control Apple’s software, notification prompts, or wallpaper APIs.

Access codes

We do not use traditional usernames and passwords. Your access code is the key to your subscription for a specific wallpaper. Anyone with the code can fetch images and change customizations for that subscription. Keep it private. If you believe a code was shared or leaked, contact us and we will help as reasonably as we can.

Subscriptions and tiers

Subscriptions are annual and billed through Stripe. Each subscription is for one wallpaper type (for example calendar, image + quote, or daily word), not an account-wide license for every wallpaper we sell.

Plans are stacked as follows (features may evolve; the site’s pricing table is authoritative at checkout):

• Base — customizations except a custom photo background
• Photo — Base plus a custom photo background
• Plus — Photo plus additional features as described at purchase (the site’s pricing table is authoritative)

Every plan includes about two automatic wallpaper refreshes per UTC day (enough for a daily Shortcut run plus one retry). You can add more refreshes from your wallpaper page when needed, up to ten stored at once; unused balance resets at midnight UTC.

Prices are shown in a currency based on your approximate location (for example EUR, USD, or GBP) when available. Taxes may apply depending on your location and Stripe Tax / Stripe Checkout settings.

Upgrades, downgrades, and discounts

• Upgrades within the same wallpaper (for example Base → Photo) are charged the prorated difference when you confirm the change.
• Downgrades generally take effect at your next annual renewal so you keep the higher plan until the period you already paid for ends. If a downgrade removes photo access, your custom photo may be cleared when the lower tier becomes active.
• From time to time we may offer a launch or promotional discount (for example launch-50, 50% off). While that coupon remains attached to your subscription and stays valid in Stripe, it can apply to renewals and eligible upgrades. New checkouts stop receiving a promotion once we deactivate it; existing subscribers keep the discount already on their subscription as Stripe records it.

You can manage payment method, cancel, or change tier where available via Manage subscription on the wallpaper page (Stripe Customer Portal / our change flows).

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal (linked from Manage subscription) or by contacting support@usefulwallpaper.com. After cancellation, access typically continues until the end of the paid period, then stops renewing.

Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law (including any mandatory consumer withdrawal rights that apply to you). If you believe you are entitled to a refund, email us with your access code and purchase email.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, sell, or publicly post access codes
• Exceed or circumvent daily fetch limits, or probe the API for abuse
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful images
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms were violated, or to protect the Service or other users.

Your content and our content

If you upload a photo, you keep ownership of that photo. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to provide your wallpaper (including generating images for your Shortcut). You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and use that photo.

The site design, branding, software, and wallpaper layouts we create are owned by us or our licensors. Quote text, dictionary definitions, and similar third-party content may be provided by partners (for example Wordnik for daily words) and remain subject to their terms and attribution requirements. We do not claim ownership of famous quotations themselves.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee unbroken uptime. Features, wallpaper types, fetch limits, prices, and third-party integrations (Stripe, email, dictionary APIs, hosting) may change. We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice when practical. Continued use after changes to these Terms means you accept the updated Terms; we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Wallpaper content (quotes, words, definitions, calendar progress) is for personal inspiration or information and is not professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the subscription at issue in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example certain consumer rights or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limits are forbidden).

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Useful Wallpapers, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where they cannot be waived. Courts in that jurisdiction may hear disputes, subject to those consumer rights.
